For those asking about the 10 Speed tuning, is it worth it? Yes. 100%
I'm going to do a comparison between Motorops and PPEI transmission tuning.
I did go a step further than most and I have installed the ratiotek 800hp kit. They also call it the level 2/3 kit.
I likely fall in a category that most guys do. I use my truck. Stock ride height, 20x10 wheels with 305/50/20 all terrains - Truck is tuned by Motorops SOTF. I have run Kory's compliant tunes for the first 45k miles of ownership. I first tuned it at 12k miles. I currently have 66,xxx miles on the truck currently.
I'm going to do some real world comparisons before I say much. Today I did just drive from Hershey PA to Niagra Falls NY empty, and currently on my way home loaded at about 11-12k. It's currently back on the MO tunes. I can say I don't think you can go wrong with either company.
I would rather give factual information with data than to just spout off opinions and allow people to make a decision from there. I use my truck daily. I am not a hot shot. One day I'm taking my family to dinner in it, another day I have my car trailer behind it with plywood for a project, or my 36' gooseneck trailer with a John Deere 410b backhoe putting me way over weight with a gross combined weight at around 31k, or pulling campers around whether it's mine or a customers. I'll definitely put them through their paces.
I'm going to reach out to them both for some information as well. Right now (I haven't had much time to look) I haven't seen an ability to read actual vs commanded shift times. I only see actual time to complete shift.
There's going to be differences between them. I do feel Motorops is going to have a bit of an advantage since they're who tuned the ECM and they can dial in the torque models better than anyone else.
